Expensive - no longer thoughtful

Chutney - no man's land between Chiswick and Putney

Trampoline - liquid for cleaning vagrants

Cockney - bizarre physical feature

Ramshackle - a sex game condemned by the RSPCA

Char Lady - Joan of Arc

Detonation - Greece

Bombardier - an overly aggressive form of culling

Bumpkin - serviette used in the lavatory
On Monday there is a conference in Bonn entitled 'What Afghanistan Really Needs'. Presumably after the Russians and NATO/US have spent $bns

and most of the last 20 yrs achieving the square route of fuck all in terms of progress/change, they've got Thunderbirds lined up to take over?

A raped Afghan woman may, this week, be forced to marry her assailant. Thousands of military & civilian lives have been lost in Afg., for what?

Meanwhile, as Blair and Bush enjoy luxurious retirement, 390 UK families of military casualties will have a tough Christmas.

AFC post Milan

Defeats go with the territory for fans of any club but yesterday was embarrassing evidence of continued decline despite inc revenue & prices

I will continue to support AW, club and players of course but it is now becoming clear that someone at the club is taking the piss financially.

If moving to a new, bigger stadium + a billionaire owner + higher prices is not making us a stronger competitor then what will?

On a brighter note, if it's all becoming a bit too much, you could always support Celtic. They'll be in what is in effect a one-team league next year. Easy to support.

About the Following..

Twitter's great, allowing one to follow people one admires, or useful news sources or opinion-formers/influencers/ people who make us laugh.

New friends, entertaining people... Or people we loathe, but want to keep an eye on!

But if you're just an ordinary Joe (like me) pls explain y you tweet asking 4 help getting more followers but r not prepared to follow back?

Genuinely interested in y your tweets r so much more important, better than ours that we should follow you but u don't need to reciprocate?

Not a long-term obligation: don't like what we tweet, single button 2 press. But not giving ppl a chance on principle; a bit arrogant imo.

I find it's very rare that Shakespeare or Oscar Wilde is lurking behind your made-up-name and cheeky avatar. #justsaying

Dear Dave

With apologies to non-politically interested followers. A short rant. It'll all be over quite quickly and normal rubbish will then be resumed.

Dear Dave: When will you realise that appeasing the left will never make them vote for you? It's just pissing off those of us who did.

Dear Dave: For God's sake grow some  balls and get on with it. Doing what the country needs, with conviction, not trying to please everyone.

Dear Dave: If you have the time to f*ck about with booze buses rather than the economy or the EU disaster, maybe you need to hop on one.

Dear Dave: LibDems are 3rd and shrinking. Letting them 'wag the dog' is like being a LibDem: There's no future in it for you or the country.

Dear Dave: Stop pussy-footing about and get on with it. Having a piss-poor opposition is no excuse for being just a bit better than them.

Dear Dave: You keep saying 'we need to make cuts'. So make some f*cking cuts. At the moment we're borrowing more than Labour did FFS.

Dear Dave: Allowing Local Authorities to cut services and not exec salaries is stupid. If you can't make it happen, find us someone who can.

Dear Dave: Stop appointing the vested interest brigade to formulate NHS reform. These people are part of the problem, not the solution.

Dear Dave: Messrs Lansley and Duncan-Smith have had over a decade to make their Health and Welfare reforms water-tight. Why aren't they?

And rest. Sorry if that was of no interest to you. Feels better at this end though. :-)
